Maldives

Touched down in Maldives ↠ 1 week- 3 resorts
First stop was Four Seasons Maldives Landaa Giraavaru
We flew in by sea plane from Male and were given this incredible view of the island & resort
We were hosted for 3 nights at the Four Seasons and this is what it looked like.. talk about paradise..
This was my first Four Seasons experience and they did not disappoint my expectations. There’s a special touch to Four Seasons Resorts.

Next on the list was Baros, a speed boat ride away from Male, and it is absolutely paradise, a small Romantic island that was voted most romantic resort. We unfortunately didn’t have the best weather during our 2 night stay, but I look forward to returning to Baros as it was truely SO stunning, and the entire vibe of the island was so sweet and relaxing.

Lastly we spent 3 nights at the Club Med Kani resort, which was a completely different market of maldives resorts.
This resort is an all inclusive and the market is more families and young travellers, we had a relaxed visit to Club Med Kani. Although I preferred my time at Four Seasons and Baros.

Summer in the Greek Islands

Island hopping in Greece
I’ve dreamt of visiting Greece for years, and finally this summer I got to experience a place like no other. I’ve been lucky enough to see many incredible places across the world, but Greece stands out as one of my favourites for so many reasons.. it’s a place I plan to come back and visit every European summer, because I just can’t get enough of it..
We flew into Athens and spent one night there before catching the morning ferry to our first island> Mykonos..
We watched the sunset over Mykonos from a rooftop on the first night before wandering the streets to have a big spread of everything greek 😛
We stayed at Mykonos Blanc resort

Next stop was > Ios
I always thought of Ios as the Island of party and was blown away when we quickly seen the beauty of this Island and how much more there is to Ios
We stayed at Agalia Luxury Suites for 4 nights, if you can’t stay there I’d recommend at least visiting the restaurant there, such good food & the best Espresso martinis!
http://www.agaliahotel.com
We spent our nights out at The Lost Boys Bar, owned by a lovely couple- Reece & Caz who took us out exploring the island and showed us their secret spots they found while exploring during the summers.
Certainly check this bar out!

3rd Island on our list was Milos
Milos didn’t have any luxury accomodation & sure was the island of adventure..
We spent all our days riding around on our scooter finding beautiful coastlines and coves to swim and spend the days in.
Out of the islands this one would be in my opinion the most naturally beautiful, its much more quieter and for those who want to adventure more.

4th Island> SANTORINI
ahhhh Santorini, I think anyone who imagines visiting Greece always pictures themselves on the cliffside town of Oia.
We spent 4 nights in Santorini & were lucky enough to be hosted by Chromata & Charisma Suites.. And to make it even better my Twin Sisters ELSA joined us here to travel for the next 2 weeks while she had a university break!
Surrounded by my love, twin & a few of my best friends in the magic of Santorini- what a dream!
We spent most our days in the town of Oia, taking pictures in the streets and lazying by the pool.
Charisma suites invited us out for the day with their yacht company- Santorini Yachting Club. We sailed around the islands of Santorini on a private yacht and enjoyed Champagne and lunch on board.

Lastly we visited the Island of Zakynthos!!
I’ve dreamt of sitting on this cliff side for years, and wondered if it would be more or less beautiful in real life, and I can confidently say it is SO much more incredible in real life!
We flew from Santorini to Athens and then connected to Zakynthos, This is the easiest way to get there!
We found a place to stay on booking.com which was out of the town and up on the hill with beautiful ocean views, it was quiet and even had a kitchen so we could put elsa to work on making us the best breakfast spread! 😛
We took our hire car over to a nearby island to visit the Melissani Cave & a boat trip to visit Shipwreck beach.

Montana- Glacier NP

Off to the mountains we go.. This was a big change of scenery to our usual beach and tropical vibes, and with a wonderful change of scenery! Glacier National Park, Montana.
We were invited by Tourism Montana to come capture and experience the beauty of glacier national park, and help celebrate the 100 year anniversary of National Parks Service.
Flew into Kalispell & headed straight for the mountains, the entrance to glacier national park is only 3o minutes from the airport.
We were put up in a cabin owned by the national park on Lake Mcdonald, The Glacier National Park Service were super helpful with providing ideas and inspiration for our trip! So big thanks to them!
We spent 3 full days exploring the park, places visited pictured below:

Italy & Paris

We began our week in Italy with Pizza by the Colleseum in beautiful Rome🍕🍕
Mushroom, tomato and basil was my fav kind of pizza 🌱

Next stop was Vegan Gelato at a place called CamBio Vita, which we found on my favourite website while travelling- Happy Cow. Even the choc dipped waffle cones were vegan, so we went all out! Els on the left got chocolate and banana, and mine on the right was raspberry and basil 🍌
Safe to say we ate our way through Rome 🍦

Next we spent a few days in the sea side towns of Cinque Terre, unfortunately we arrived to wind and rain- not always smooth sailing when travelling! So we spent more time in the restaurants than by the sea- ah well have to come back again 🌊

Next was The romantic Venice.. 🌹
We ate Gelato on the bridges..🍦
And sipped wine down the canals.. 🍷

Next we flew to Paris- the city of Love.. For a job with Air BNB

We spent a long weekend exploring Paris- ‘Like a local’ was the campaign- to try and see more of the unseen attractions of Paris- away from the iconic Eiffel tower, although this can be hard when you can see it from almost anywhere in Paris!
We met with a local photographer who took us around showing us all his favourite spots as a Parisian photographer!
We ate crepes in Montemarte, Croissants by cafes, watched the skyline of the city from the rooftops, roamed the quaint and colourful street of Rue Cremieux, admired the Eiffel tower from Trocadero.

Sri Lanka

We had 10 days in Sri Lanka while en route to the maldives, this is what we got up to and the places we visited!
Sri Lanka was a pleasant surprise.. we flew into Colombo, and went straight down to Unawatuna to spend a couple of nights by the beach towns, this is close to Galle.
This is where you will find the swing on the palm tree into the ocean captured below..
We also visited a Hatching Sanctuary and paid a donation to release baby sea turtles into the ocean, this was a realllly cool experience.
They collect the eggs at night when the mothers come up to lay their eggs and allow most to hatch and crawl to the ocean by themselves and they then keep a few in the sanctuary for the visitors to come and be educated and experience releasing baby sea turtles.
While in Sri Lanka I had NO problem being a vegetarian, it was actually much easier than most countries, as they are close to India there was many options, I always use Happycow.com to research vegetarian food options.
Our next destination was to Pinnawala, the elephant sanctuary, We stayed at the hotel elephant park- you gain free access to view the elephants bathing in the stream each day from the hotel, if you are not staying in one of these hotels by the stream you must pay the entry ticket to the centre, which allows you to go by the river- so this is a saving, and plus the hotel isn’t even expensive!
They claim the elephants are taken from the wild to prevent them from poachers, and this is a place of refuge for them, I’m not sure on the exact condition for the elephants, I seen them bathing in the stream all day, and didn’t see any extreme signs of cruelty, BUT I am not an expert on this so I voice NO opinion- if this is something you are concerned about I HIGHLY recommend you to do your own research if you choose to visit this area, do not base it on my recommendation.
We spent 2 nights in Pinnawala before heading to Kandy we spent a couple of nights here and just spent more time relaxing and did some vintage jewellery shopping- This is where I bought my anklets that I LOVE, We then caught the train towards Ella for the day- through the rice fields and mountains, its a beautiful train ride. As we didnt have much time left we only went half way before heading back to Colombo and stayed at Bentota for a further 2 nights before we flew out to Male-Maldives.
